Academic and Ceremonial Attire
Senate
A gown of red soft polyester; the front lapels in black polyester,
the side lapels and collar in blue polyester with yellow lining. Arm
opening at the middle of the sleeves with yellow lining. A mortar-
board of black soft polyester with black tassel.
Academic Staff
A gown of royal blue polyester with plain sleeves. A bonnet with
yellow tassel for academic staff with doctorates and a mortar-
board of blue polyester with blue tassel for the others.
Mace Bearer
A gown of dark red polyester; the front lapels in green polyester
with black lining, with UTAR logo at the top of both lapels. Arm
opening trimmed with green lining with two green bands on the
lower part of the sleeves. A round hat of black polyester with
UTAR logo in front.
Emeritus Professor
A gown of red soft polyester; the front lapels in black and gold
kain songket motif and the sleeves with three stripes of black
and gold kain songket motif. A hood of red soft polyester and
polyester with satin in the colour of the discipline with a ‘V’
shape front and back. A bonnet of black soft polyester with
yellow tassel.
