Important Note:
* You are not allowed to participate in the physical convocation ceremony if you failed to register to confirm your attendance within the stipulated period mentioned above.
** You are required to collect your convocation attire, stage photographs and/or certificate at Sungai Long campus if you failed to register online for your preferred venue for collection.
Safety Procedures for Covid-19 Pandemic:
- Due to strict Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) applied in conducting the ceremony during the COVID -19 pandemic, each graduate is only allowed to bring a maximum of two (2) parents/guests to attend the convocation ceremony.
- Only fully-vaccinated persons shall be allowed to participate in the convocation ceremony. Persons entering the campus will have to show to the security officer at the entrance to the campus evidence of their fully-vaccinated status in their MySejahtera app.
Definition of fully-vaccinated:
- Individuals who have taken the Pfizer, AstraZeneca or Sinovac vaccines, which require two doses, must have passed 14 days from the date of their second vaccination.
- Individuals who have taken the Johnson & Johnson or CanSino vaccines, which require one dose, must have passed 28 days from the date of their vaccination.
- All persons entering the campus shall be required to scan MySejahtera app. Health checks shall be conducted for all persons. Persons with body temperature of 37.5º C and above will not be allowed to enter the campus.
- Wearing of face mask shall be compulsory at all times on campus including washrooms, concourse areas and other common areas. Wearing of double mask (a 3-ply mask covered with a fabric mask) or equivalent mask i.e. N95, K95 or KN94 is encouraged.
- Physical distancing must be observed at all times.
- UTAR reserves the right to impose stricter procedures, change the date of a convocation ceremony/session or cancel a convocation ceremony/session in accordance with any government announcements or directives based on latest COVID-19 situation.
